About Us
At Middleton Stud our mission is to provide each mare and foal whether a permanent boarder or walk in mare with the absolute highest standard of care and consideration. We can tailor our livery packages to suit your specific needs. We are a flexible family-run business with every member of our team playing a role in the smooth running of our yard and we provide a level of commitment second to none.
We have accomodation for 10 stabled horses, 2 of which are foaling boxes with CCTV. 24 hour surveillance with 15 acres for grazing. Located in Higham, Suffolk we are only a short 10 minute drive from Newmarket.

Wendy O'Connor
Owner
With over 44 years of experience working with horses, I spent 30 years in the stud industry and the remaining within the racing industry. Over the years I have assisted and delivered hundreds of foals, most of which go smoothly (thankfully). However things don't always go to plan. I have developed the skill to care for the mare and/or foal and am now known for fostering and hand rearing orphan foals. I have worked for both well known Veterinary practices in Newmarket and even published a book on raising orphan foals.

I've always had a love for horses and taking care of them is my passion, especially foals. I have worked with and grown up around horses at Middleton Stud. Horses have always been a huge part of my life and branching out to work with them in different environments was something I was eager to do. Gaining qualifications from The National Stud, working at various studs in the UK, Equine hospitals and working in Germany for a year running a stud. This has taught me many new things that I have been able to bring back and apply to the stud life in England. Now here to help grow Middleton Stud I'm excited to be an owner, as well as family.
